Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information Tripmi ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Tripmi app (the "App"), you agree to this policy.
Information We Collect
- Account information: your email address and display name when you sign up with Apple, Google or email. Apple Sign In may provide a private relay email.
- Trip content: the trips you create — destinations, dates, interests, budgets, itineraries, notes, checklists, documents and bookmarks you add.
- Voice notes: audio recordings you make are stored locally on your device.
- Usage data: basic, non-identifying information needed to operate and improve the App.
How We Use Your Information
- To create your AI itineraries, city guides and budgets.
- To sync your trips to your account so you can access them across sessions.
- To manage your subscription and provide customer support.
- To maintain the security and reliability of the service.
AI Processing
To generate itineraries and guides, the destination and preferences you enter are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to produce the content. Destination photos are generated via an image provider (fal.ai). We do not send your name, email or personal account details for this purpose.
Third-Party Services
- Apple & Google: for sign-in authentication.
- OpenAI: to generate trip itineraries and travel guides.
- fal.ai: to generate destination images.
- RevenueCat / Apple: to process and manage subscriptions.
- Exchange-rate provider: to display live currency rates.
These providers process data under their own privacy policies.
Location
If you allow it, your location is used only on your device to show nearby places on the map. We do not track or store your location history.
Data Storage & Security
Your account and trip data are stored on secure servers. We use reasonable technical measures to protect your information. Voice recordings remain on your device unless you choose to remove them.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with the service providers listed above as needed to operate the App, or where required by law.
Your Rights & Choices
- You can edit or delete your trips at any time within the App.
- You can delete your account, which removes your associated data from our servers.
- You can manage microphone and location permissions in your device Settings.
Children
Tripmi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do.
